Nandrolone Decanoate is an anabolic steroid that is pharmacologically classified under androgen hormones. Nandrolone is primarily indicated for the treatment of conditions that are associated with anemia but it can also be used to treat osteoporosis, chronic renal failure and mass wasting syndrome that is associated with HIV/AIDS. This agent has the ability to increase the mass and size of red blood cells and also to increase the concentration of hemoglobin in them. After its action in the cells, it undergoes metabolism in the liver through oxidation and reduction processes that are similar to those of other androgens such as testosterone.
